About Lenio
Lenio is somewhere to take the hard days. It was made by Hom, a parent, and it is not therapy.
Why Lenio exists
"I made Lenio because however many parenting books I read, there were always the hard days, the ones where I got frustrated. I wanted someone I could turn to in those moments, even just for two minutes, to recap what happened and have someone listen."
Hom
Who is behind it
Hom is a parent, built Lenio, and is responsible for what you read here. Hom has no clinical credentials and is not a therapist, a psychologist or a doctor, so please read nothing on this site as clinical advice.
What Lenio is not
- Not therapy. Lenio listens and sometimes suggests one small thing to try. It does not diagnose or treat anyone.
- Not a crisis service. If things feel unsafe tonight, call 999 in the UK, or the Samaritans on 116 123. In the US, call or text 988.
- Not a substitute for professional help. If you are worried about your own wellbeing or your child's, talk to your GP or health visitor.
How the articles are written
Every article is written for parents and draws on published research. The sources are linked at the end of each article, so you can read them yourself and decide what you think. The articles offer small experiments to try, never prescriptions, and the child is never framed as the problem.
Where to go next
- Reading for parents, everything written here.
- How Lenio works, what the conversation does and does not do.
- Privacy, plainly, what Lenio keeps and how to delete it.
